Company Timeline

1979: Dr George Ganatsios the founder of Hydrotech Environmental enters the field of environmental protection and wastewater treatment study, design, construction and operation.

2000: After more than 20 years of experience and domination of the Greek market in the field of municipal and industrial wastewater study, design, construction and operation, Hydrotech Environmental expands with new projects in the Balkans, Northern Africa and Middle East.

2007: Since 2007, Hydrotech Environmental has invented and implemented the Ydro Process® and the Ydro Series bacterial blends in various wastewater treatment units and by altering parameters has achieved the pioneering and unique method invention of sludge elimination, simultaneously achieving plant optimization and cost reduction.

2011: Hydrotech Environmental and the group of companies of George and Andreas Ganatsios have initiated various global strategic cooperation’s with licensees offering solutions in the area of wastewater treatment and sludge elimination with the application of the Ydro Process®.

2014: Andreas Ganatsios becomes the executive officer and shareholder of Alpha Bioenergy Ltd by 50% and the company scope is changed as the wastewater treatment with addition of bacterial products becomes the new main target. The contribution and the technical advice of George Ganatsios led to many succesful projects in the Greek market.

2016: Andreas Ganatsios leaves the 50% ownership of Alpha Bioenergy and together with George Ganatsios continue the technical support to all ongoing projects of Alpha Bioenergy.

2017: Hydrotech Environmental continues expanding by cooperating with multinational group of companies in various industrial fields. The R&D department is continuously advancing increasing the quality and the efficiency of the Ydro Series bacterial products.

2018: The cooperation with Alpha Bioenergy is terminated and Hydrotech Environmental continues operating in the Greek market with other licensees. All other global territories are progressing and expanding with existing licensees and partners.

2019: The R&D department of Hydrotech Environmental after performing all necessary tests and trials has added more new products to the existing range of the Ydro Series bacterial products. Currently there are 25 different Ydro Series bacterial products  covering an extensive range of municipal, industrial and agricultural sectors.
